What specific battery model do i need for a 1999 Yamaha Zuma scooter?
Most of the batteries on eBay are for the newer model Zuma’s. I can’t find the specs for the 1999 Zuma, and shouldn’t this info be more widely available?…Like from Yamaha, as opposed to a third party? It’s amazing how difficult they make it to obtain knowledge.
Specs are widely available and easily obtained from buying a service manual. They run from 20-35 bucks usually and are available from your Yamaha dealer (or even in PDF format online…free in some places with a little searching) and if you want to know what battery your scooter takes, look it up on the Yuasa site. They are the most common motorcycle batteries used, and you can usually cross reference yours online.
